Facilitate Knowledge Sharing through Micro-blogs and Peer-to-Peer Training HERE on January 13, 1:00pm EST


The purpose of this presentation is to explore methods for promoting knowledge sharing with both "high tech" and "high touch" approaches. The presentation will begin with a review of emerging micro-blog tools. Success stories and trends within government including GSA, DOS, and EPA will be briefly discussed. The majority of the presentation will focus on enabling micro-blogs within the Federal KMWG to capture valuable KM-related best practices. After a brief question and answer session, the presentation will then focus on current trends in supplementing traditional training with peer-to-peer mentoring. A brief poll will be conducted to understand the value of mentoring across agencies including sharing expertise in KM including SharePoint, wikis, storytelling, etc.. The presentation will conclude by testing new features available with the Federal KMWG web conferencing software. The test will consist of synchronizing participants embedded web browser to view videos, web pages, and other web content in real time without loss in performance.
