On Monday June 8th, Michael J. Novak will present a web conference on Strategic Competency Assessment. This session goes beyond knowledge management, and focuses on competency management – the act of effectively managing knowledge, skills, abilities, attitudes, aptitudes, and experiences for the purpose of optimizing desired organizational outcomes. In particular, the session advocates a lifecycle approach to the identification and acquisition of competencies, and a framework that consolidates strategic, operational, and tactical aspects of organizational performance.Michael works for the Internal Revenue Service in the Performance Improvement Branch, Strategic Acquisition Initiatives, AWSS/Procurement.
